Dollar to a do-nut says that the "problems" people have with their campi brakes are due to aged brake blocks, unlike sewups way back when, there is no "sweet spot" with aged brake blocks-the older they are the less effective the compound is. Think of brake blocks (degrading in what they are designed to do) the way you think of gum hoods (degrading as a function of time-not entirely mitigated by even optimal care)
I won't be taking the new bike out for a serious ride until I can get some new FRESH brake pads for it....anyone know of good sources?
