Hi Walter,
Rolf Wolfshol was the biggest rider to come out of germany in the sixties.
He rode for Rapha-Gitane-Dunlop, Peugeot-BP, Gitane-Leroux,
Mercier-Hutchinson, Bic, Rokado and Ha-Ro.
He is/was the outstanding Cross-racer of Germany. He won the National
Championship 14 times. In WC he was also very successful: 3xgold, 5xsilver,
4xbronze. The biggest rivals were Renato Longo Erik de Vlaeminck and Andre
Dufraisse.
His biggest achievement is winning the '65 Vuelta.
I posted pictures of my and listmembers Dustin Nordhus' visit to Wolfshols
shop. The bike is the one he won the Vuelta with. Others he kept were the
ones he won his TdF stages with and the first Cross WC.
