The BB shell Mario used was the Fischer sand cast, just like the early CA and Italian BB's. Mario never got to use the lugs that ended up being used on the Medici bikes. The lugs Mario used for the Confente frames were indeed modified Bocoma lugs. Fork crown was also Fischer sand cast, exactly like Masi.

I believe that Mario used Rexart investment cast lugs, as later used by Medici. There are others on the list with more expertise in this (Brian? Jim? Chuck?). I don't remember whose BB he used.
