First off I'd like to say hi. First post on CR, but a long time member of RBR and Bike Forums, so some of you may know me by the handle daneil.

Anyway. I'm in the midst of purchasing a Raleigh USA Team frame and I wanted some more info, since it seems to not follow the standard Raleigh dating. The frame is in the Red/Maroon, Yellow and Black paint scheme and is made of 531c. The geometry of 49 c-t-c ST, 53 c-t-c TT and 40 mm chainstays would also seem to place the bike as a Team frame.

The decals from Reynolds would seem to place the bike in the mid-late 80's. The lugs are absent of any windows or other cutouts as you can see in the third picutre. The serial number stamped on the BB shell seems to be missing the lettered coding that comes before the seven digit year and serial numbers that are listed on the Retro Raleigh site (second pic).
