Of course it is no problem to fine tune the saddle tilt with either of the older Super Record seat posts as they are micro adjustable. I do however have a variety of more modern seat posts, some Japanese, some Italian which have saw toothed tilt adjustments. In a way I prefer the toothed variety because unlike my Campy Super Record single bolt post the adjustment never slips. Unfortunately, my perfect setting may be between two "teeth" on the other type, and I have been forced to settle on less than ideal. I found a way to shim the nose up with a copper electrical crimp barrel, I simply took a copper barrel designed to crimp two wires together under the 4 way electrical Buchannan system. I cut a barrel down the length to make two half barrels. The barrel now sits under the bottom of each seat rail in the front so that when I clamp down, the nose is now lifted almost exactly between two tooth settings. Simple and effective, but I bet some of you already thought of it.
