Rod, In my experience, you will have no problems with the front brake, which is probably a Weinmann 610. If the rear is a Weinmann 750, you should not have any problems. But I've seen a few of these bikes with 610s at the rear and those barely had enough reach for a 27" tire. In situation, you would need to replace the model 610 with a 750. But ttry it out first. There's no real danger - it's esy to find the 750s. Rivendell even has them new. Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
