I've been seeing a list of wish I hads, used to haves and gonna gets. I just haven't seen what was the peak of classic bike tech mentioned.

Full Campy SR. Cinelli Record stem. Mavic SSC blue rims. Regina Oro chain and freewheel. The TdF bikes had Brooks big rivet pro saddles.
That garish red, black and yellow paint. (Done that way because it photographed well in B/W.)
I'm getting shivers just thinking of one. Oooooooooo!
