hi wayne,

i've upgraded several of my super record posts to alloy allen head bolts. they are much lighter than the stock bolt. more importantly to me, they are easier to tighten and loosen with less chance of having the wrench slip off or rounding the bolt head. i have never snapped one, and they've never seized on me (of course i grease them before installation).

the ones i have are also longer, which makes them perfect for use with the wishbone shaped, high profile alloy rails of certain cinelli saddles (the ones that come with the vip set - i don't know what model they are).

i got mine in the early 90's, and of course, i don't remember where :}
