It has been pointed out to me that perhaps this statement could be interpreted as being negative, denigrating, or even possibly racist i regards to our fellow bicycle enthusiasts in Japan. Nothing could be further from the truth. I was merely stating an opinion, that these types of items, at these types of prices, are often purchased by Japanese bidders. Nothing more.
I, myself have sold a number of classic bicycle related items to Japanese collectors and without exception have had positive experiences. The collectors in Japan that I have dealt with have been polite, enthusiastic, generous and appreciative. In my experience thay have always left positive feedback on eBay. I very much appreciate having them as customers.
What I SHOULD have said was: I would absolutely LOVE to see the bicycle that these rims are destined to be a part of.
