Subject: [CR]Connecticut Vintage Ride/Get-Together

My friend, Doug Day, suggested a ride and eats at his place in New Britain, CT. I know it's a bit late and weather hasn't been particularly hospitable, but the idea was to "get the ball (wheel?) rolling for some vintage rides and camaraderie in our area. The idea has been tossed around with other southern NE listees, and as they say, "if not us,who...yadda yadda."

We have decided to try something on Nov. 20. (He'll be in Italy, AGAIN (grrrr..., before that). Doug has graciously offered his house, unless we get a huge response, then we may have to go to "Plan B". We were thinking a relatively flat hour and a half ride to two hour, followed by food, chat, bike ogling, etc.

Some of you may know Doug, a former racer with Richie Sachs' team. His wife Sue runs Due Cane Tours, and they just got back from one to l' Eroica, where Doug was bitten by the classic bug (I think). He's asked her to put a slide show together for the 20th.

So....anyone wanting to get together in Central Connecticut on Nov. 20, email me.
