I didn't buy a Masi at 16 but I did buy a new Cinelli. I was attending a vocational high school and learned enough about welding and cutting to "lie" my way into a shipyard and earn journeyman wages one summer vacation. The pay was $4.11 an hour and the Cinelli was $239.00.

I didn't buy a Masi till '76.
