I have a Viking frameset from the early '60s (or possibly a tad later) I need help identifying. Salient characteristics are:
1. Prugnat 62Bis lugs (AFAICT from Steven Sheffield's gallery). 2. mudguard eyelets on dropouts (no name on dropouts but they are not stamped). DR hanger on right rear. 120mm rear spacing. 3. Contrasting head tube and matching seat tube panel. Three double bands above and below seat tube panel. 4. "5 Firsts Tour of Britain" seat tube transfer. 5. Script Viking DT transfers. 6. Remnants of what appears to be a Reynolds seat tube transfer at top of tube, although the frame seems heavy for 531 (as compared to other frames I have of the same period). Seat tube accepts a 26.6 mm seat post. (?) 7. There appears to have been another transfer/sticker just below the "Reynolds" remnant. ID unclear. 8. Braze-on cable guides on the BB shell (top). 9. Lamp braze on on the left fork blade. 10. Seat bolt and lamp bracket bolt have Viking "V". 11. Pump pegs on DT, 19" spacing. 12. Centerpull cable bridge for rear brake. 13. Brake cable braze-ons (2) under TT. 14. Came with TDC headset and cottered BB. 15. Serial No 152816 stamped in BB shell.
Don't know if the paint job is original but appears to be. Any and all help appreciated.
