I found a horrible looking pair of Resillion hubs recently and spent an afternoon cleaning them. They came out quite nicely, except that the rear hub's cups and cones have a thin layer of discoloration/rust. As a result, the rear does not spin as nicely as the front.
Can anyone recommend a polishing compound and technique for cleaning and polishing old cups and cones?
