I've added another of my bikes to my album on Wool Jersey. This one is a 1975 Masi Gran Criterium (Carlsbad), MC64 #010. It was originally Jim Cunningham's (owner/founder of CycleArt) personal bike and has custom paintwork done by Jim for himself in 1986. I've completely stripped and re-built it since acquiring it last year. Along the way I replaced some parts that were odd choices made by owners between Jim and me. For example it came to me with modern handlebars and one of the hubs was Dura-Ace! Unfortunately, at 62cm c/c it's really a tad bit too small for me, but I love it!
Hey Jim... if you've found those photos of the bike in its original paint and the 1977 "cinnamon" paint, as well as photos of the current version when it was first done, send them along! I'd like to put them up in the gallery for folks to see the bike in its earlier incarnations.
Jim's Masi joins the other three I've put up on Wool Jersey in recent days: circa 1981 Ron Stout, 1975 Argos and 1982 Colnago.
