The weather couldn't have been finer for a November day and the 4th? annual retro ride sponsored by Shawn Downing, mid to upper 70's. And what a crowd. Quite a few people brought extra bikes to ogle, awards were given for oldest bike, oldest bike bought new and still in original ownership, coolest jersey and a few others. Harvey Sachs had his impeccable 38 Schwinn track iron letting whoever wanted to ride it. Ken Sanford had that pretty Gillot, and there were so many local riders from the Chesapeake Wheelmen that I really didn't know that I can't put names to many of the people in photos. I'll keep editing pictures when I find out more names. There was a gentleman riding a Kabuki top of the line frame that he bought new in 1974. I may have built it for him when I was working in the shop he bought it from, The Bike Warehouse. Just a great day. For those a bit too pushed by hills last year, the route was flattened out a bit, still hilly but definitely easier and 34 miles by my odometer.

Happy trails,

Dan Artley in Parkton, Maryland and hoping the beautiful riding weather holds out!
