Well, to each his own, it is said. But instead of pondering a middling Trek, how about these three Ebay outings? May I throw these conversation logs on the fire? (all newly listed from Ebay)

First, though I realize mine wasn't anything special, this Frejus track bike has what I take to be some "cromovelato" finishing and has the correct seatpillar clamp and headset. I would love to see those F&B hubs end up somewhere besides some FixieHeads street "pista" bike. (you'll understand, I hope, if you look at the last two outings I give) Item # 7195240220

And take a look at this Paramount track bike. since no one seems to know what happened to my beloved 66 cm/ 26" Paramount track bike that I stoopidly sold 20 years ago ( to whom? a young tall kid who had to have it and it has not been seen since! ) and I have moved on and am thrilled with my vintage Ed Litton 67 cm machine.) Take a look and there is a "surprise" component here that I don't know much about, maybe this "neato" part will "stem" some discussion" - someone know about it care to tell me if it is a pos? Item # 7195327565

And last but by no means least, my true love, another Ci-no-foolin' track machine, again sans wheels ( no doubt another pair severed from their parent frame and serving time under some sodium vapor street lit gangbangeronwheels butt), and this time look at the forks, I just love the detail there and I confess I feel about Cinelli the way the Ma-si-afia around here feel about Faliero's handiwork. But you must allow that a bike with "Chi" in its name, well, what could go wrong with more Chi? Item # 7195327565

There. I feel better. I'm sorry, but some hack fleamarket vendor's goods are really not of interest to me. I do love the discussion about stuff like these three beauties. In a large way, if I could ride them, I would buy them all, so it is good I ended up 203 cms tall!

Ciao - a presto,

I'm sorry I just put in the numbers, when I try to do the whole page link thingie, it never seems to come out right. Just cut and paste the numbers into the ebay homepage seach box, if you did not know that already...
