Well, I assume that the shoulder on the 151 1/8" track rings was purely a strength thing. Would the remaining shoulder on the newly formed 3/32 ring be for strength in a pursuit application? I wouldn't think that any additional strength would be needed, but Campy always overbuilt their stuf.
