Thought I'd introduce myself to the list members. I'm Hal Bielstein and I've been involved with bicycles since 1976. I own a stable of bikes (11) all of which I've built myself. I've been building bicycles since 1988 and since that time I built about 60 frames. Recently however ( as I get older and slower!) my bike building has slowly turned towards bikes the general public (i.e. non-racers) can ride comfortably. My interests have also gravitated towards touring and I hope to do a few more tours these next years. Current bike projects include an expedition touring bike for a young man who plans to ride from Prudhoe Bay to Terra del Fuego, a sport bike for a young lady, a sport touring bike for the individual who helped me build my new frame jig, and finally a new randonneuse for myself (as if I needed another bike).
