When mounting typical side pull brakes I see both one star washer and two star washers used on pictures of bicycles. Which method is correct. And why? Charles Nighbor Walnut Creek CA high 70's Sun Why am I sitting here Becuase I rode up Mt. diablo off road yesterday and legs need a break
Two in the front, one in the rear is usually the best method. You need the second front one so that your 13mm cone wrench will better clear the headset cup when centering the caliper. Greg Parker Ann Arbor, Michigan
