If you have Eugene A. Sloane's The Complete Book of Bicycling you can see a picture of Jim (it's on page 329, editions may vary). The shot was originally from a track article I remember seeing many moons ago in Bicycling! magazine. Jim's in St. Louis gutting it out to come from all the way back from 12th place to finish second in a points race. Wish I'd had the chance to see him in person like Bill did, nevermind to actually ride on the same track as him!

Somebody please stop the hands of time; we're losing too many great ones, and each departing soul takes with him a thousand untold stories...
