Subject: [CR]1951 Hetchins Magnum Opus Phase II for sale in the UK

I have a lead on a 1951 Hetchins Magnum Opus Phase II that is owned by a kindly older gent in the U.K. Having talked to this fellow this morning I've established that the frame is too large for me at 23&1/2" center to top, so I'll pass the word along to the first few who email about the gentlemans contact information. The Magnum Opus as stated in the subject line is a 1951 Phase II, which proceeded the Phase I by only a short period, as the Phase I was only produced to my knowledge in 1950. This frame has no chrome, and has been re-enameled. I only have one jpg of the frame in a side view. This is a rare one owner frame, which comes with the original bill of sale, and has a racing history with the owner. The owner actually was at Hetchins, most likely with Jack Denny seeing it built. I believe Jack Denny was the only builder of the Magnum Opus of that era, but that information can most likely be verified with Len Ingram, holder of the Hetchins Registry.

I'm not related to the owner, but just passing along the lead. Please write me offlist. As this is an older gent, I'd rather not swamp him with phone calls, so I'll pass his name and phone number in the U.K. to the first folks to contact me. If one of you lucky folks purchases the frame, please let me know ASAP. I talked to Len Ingram about the frame this morning, and he suggests a minimum offer of around 600 English Pounds Sterling. Just a suggestion: The gentleman seemed like he might ship, but it might be best if you have a friend/contact in the U.K. who can pack and ship once purchased.
