My '80 Masi has fender stay fittings on fork and seatstay. Suitable for fenders or not?

> Peter and our English friends have a point, I think, about using mudguards on
\r?\n> classic British bikes...I have them on my Woodrup and put them on my Raleigh in
\r?\n> the winter...they look correct, are functional, and most important, the bikes
\r?\n> have the fittings on the forks and stays to accommodate them. But what about on
\r?\n> topic bikes that were never intended to use them? Grafting a Bluemels onto a
\r?\n> Masi? It seems to me that what equipment and what purpose a bike was designed
\r?\n> for determines the appropriateness of the equipment used on it. I'm still
\r?\n> deciding if I'll add merd guards to the le Champion for the winter...no eyelets
\r?\n> on the drop-outs, but for winter riding it seems to be a useful addition.
