I think the continuing pattern from Pete Kohler and Jan is that Japanese tires seem a tighter fit and more satisfactory. Like Pete, my problem was the Conloy Asp 27" rims and the Paselas worked very nicely on those rims. Continentals were totally unsatisfactory. One other thing is to use a large tire if possible. That way you will be happier with a relatively lower pressure and not have to gamble on a high pressure with a rim that does not have a substantial hook beed.
