This month's Pic of the Day show 1932 world road champion Alfredo Binda training in Vincennes with French sprinter Lucien Faucheux. The boys were in town for races at the Vel d'Hiv.

Full mud guards all-round... note the high mounts on Faucheux's fork. Binda's bike might be a Legnano (his sponsor at the time). Note the single brake lever and absurdly high mounting of the brake caliper in relation to the fork crown on Binda's bike - this must be a track bike set-up for some road training.

Also note the pattern in Binda's sweater and plus-fours... not unlike the outfit worn by this 1930's Italian toy motorcyclist:
