Wow - not sure what this is all about....

I responded to "engineer" - very nice gent named George. From what I can tell he is not really interested in selling the bikes at all - just wanted to know something about them. They've been in his family and he was curious.

I'm usually very interested in helping folks sort out these types of bikes properly as it often means preventing someone from doing harm or discarding rare and impossible to replace items. Now he knows he really should try to find the racks that are missing from the bikes - he thinks they may be around.

I also turned him onto Jan's site as well. He had made a very reluctant post to another list and got sent to the CR list. Most of the posts he received on the other list were lacking in substance.

My expertise (if I really have any) has never yielded me a terribly great reward. If folks want Herse or Singer advise (for whatever it is worth) I'm always happy to give my two cents. Heck, I usually give my advise when it isn't event wanted which is worse.
