Hello, I come to Classic Rendezvous via Green Mt. Schwinn Cyclery in Rutland, Vt. where I started working in 1972 when I was 16. Some of you may remember this store, as we sold nice bikes all over the country. We built the wheels for the "76" U.S. Olympic team. We also outfitted a cycling team from Saudi Arabia for the Olympics with Italian bikes that Same year (not knowing their size). They did not win any medals. I left Green Mt. Schwinn and the bicycle business in 1981 for greener pastures. I got back into the bicycle in 1991 and have started a collection of bikes. Primarily of brands we sold which I could not afford back then. I currently own over 40 bikes, not all vintage. Some of the vintage bikes I currently own. 2 Masi Gran Criterium's, 2 Colnago Supers and a Mexico, Cinelli Super Corsa, Gios Torino, 2 Schwinn Paramount's (one is a beautiful "66" Chrome), Raleigh Pro Track Bike, Raleigh International, Motobecane Le Champion, Teledyne Titan, Crescent, Holdsworth, Bianchi, 2 Serotta Club Specials, Eddy Merckx, Richard Sachs (which is too big for me and I plan on selling) A NOS Lejeune frame, and 3 Argos's (which I don't know much about). My interest is in bikes which we sold, and I am familiar with. Hence I don't have any of the nice English bikes, (Herse, Singer, Jack Taylor and other bikes which I had never heard of till this forum). This year, the month of June I commuted to work on a different bike every day I worked (22). You can check out many of the bikes at http://www.vtbikes.com and click on( bikes of vermont link). Thank you to the folks who turned me on to Classic Rendezvous. I have enjoyed a few transactions with a number of you in the past. I still have some bikes I would like to add to the collection, but enough for now.
