That heavy a tube-which, BTW, was the heaviest commercially made 531 tube-would only have been used for the down tube. The rest could have been quite light. I have one bike with a (1.0/.7/1.0) down tube and the rest very light and even at my size it's quite satisfactory. Phil Brown In fact I just got back from a ride on it in San Rafael, Calif.

Yes, Phil is correct (again). That would be a 531st downtube spec. Same as a Columbus SP downtube in dimensions. Greg Parker still in Ann Arbor, Michigan
