" There was a later 70s or early 80s engraving pattern on the bars as well that was a

little different, and said "Premier Marque de Grand Bretagne" on them.

These should go a little cheaper than the earlier ones that included the

ribbon / banner pattern in the engraving."

These came out c. 1974 and were I believe the last new GB model. I bel ieve they only came in anodised alloy, either silver or a gold tone. I've the

silver ones on my '75 Raleigh Team Pro. Super looking 'bars and 38 mm width. If anything they seem rarer than the all of a sudden coveted (and

once common) Map of Britain 'bars.

British 'bars tended to be more narrow or is this more a feature of era?

Seems like widths got wider in the late '70s and they remain wide or certainly wider than they were during much of the classic era.
