Dear CJ This is not meant to sound sarky but what has the got to do with the price of eggs. When you talk about the Electron you are referring to a badge engineered Claud made by Holdsworthy and post 1965, we are talking about the high water mark of authentic Claud Butler production 1946 to 1957 when these welded lugless frames were produced. Remember Claud was producing over 10,000 frames a year in the better post war years and the majority were lugless. So you have got a little confused on this and it needs to rectified correctly before you cloud the whole subject and create another myth. Simple innocent mistake to make but they are two different makers and a decade apart. I will go on record as saying I don't think Holdsworthy ever made a lugless Claud in fact in the 60's very few British makers made lugless frames with the exception of the Taylor's. Many thanks for your input but its a red herring. Best wishes Mick Butler Hunts UK.
