All very interesting and helpful replies. All of which sadly re-enforce what I feared: primo French racing iron really seems rare and much sought after! Just not just PX-10s or what should be relatively common Simplex components. Just fascinating. Rare and much sought after. But seldom the focus of our quite varied group here. Although if I am getting the gist of this correctly, it's kinda cool that a lot of the really nice stuff did indeed come from the big builders or incognito frame makers. Or that Fre nch racing guys were competing with plain 'ol Gitanes, Peugeots and Merciers.

And that one is collecting the French cycling "ethos" along with the bikes , plain they might be. I can live with that. It still doesn't make it an y easier trying to find a 61 cm 1981 Peugeot PY-10LC. Preferably in white with full chromed rear triangle and fork. I'll content myself with "etho s" for now I guess and putting together my upgraded '81 PXN-10.
