Neil, Went around to see my old mate today and mentioned your Patterson, his reply was that Pat romanticised everything and subjects and faces were not always true to life or he used the same one. He went and found some old "Cyclings" and said does this rider look like your tandem pair, well I must admit it did. The illustration he showed me was Views of The cranford Bridge on the famous Bath Road course Dec 23rd. 1920. He thought he rembered your original appearing in the 1920's so famous Tandem Brother pairings from this era are: Monty & Frank Southall, B. Stott & F.Stott, Harry & Sid Ferris (can't be these no eye patch), then you have the Wylds Arthur, Percy, Ralph and F.H.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
