Subject: [CR]correct size track bb? (Duncan Granger)

Hi all,

I need some help!

I'm gathering parts to assemble the Condor Italia track frame. An interesting oddity: the rear spacing is 120, but the bottom bracket shell is 65... I am almost certain that the bb shell has not been re-faced down from 68, and I am equally almost certain that the rear end was not widened from 110...

So I wasn't sure if the campy NR pista bb spindle I needed was 65-p-110 or 68-p-120 (seems there's no such animal as a 65-p-120).

I opted to buy the 68-p-120 (NOS from Ralph and Curtis at Via Bicycles - thanks guys!). I'm thinking I can put 1 or 1 and 1/2 mm of spacers on the fixed cup when I mount it to get the correct chainline.

Questions: 1) did campy make a pista bb spindle in 65-p-120? 2) since the size diff is only 3mm (1.5mm per side) are spacers necessary?

thanks,
