Dear Listmembers,

Along with a change in the type of bicycles I plan to build, I have deci ded to change the kind of riding I do (what little I can sneek in) and j ust today I found out there is a group of long distance riders here in t own. I'm thinking I may take a shot at riding a brevette. There is a 200 KM brevett planned for Janurary 28, 2006 here in the San Diego area. Any one from the list interested in joining myself and maybe Sterling Peters for a casual 125 mile jaunt? I've got almost no miles in my legs, but I 'm still thinking I might be able to make it happen within the 13 hour t ime limit (if I can't the vultures deserve to eat me!). I'm going to rid e the 650B wheel Peugeot PX-10 I have to see how that bike feels over th at distance. The last time I rode 200KM was in about 1983 or so. Finishe d in 5 hours and 23 minutes. Unfortunately that was from Mexicali to San Felipe, Mexico, which is as flat as one will ever find 200km to ride. I 've checked this course. It's not too bad for terrain.

If there are any takers drop me an email. If I don't regain my sanity be fore there is any responce, then I will probably try to make the ride.
