John,
I was IN the ledgendary cage in Carlsbad. Not exactly sure how I got ou t; but here I am!
Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA "The cage" was BETTER than a candy store! Stashed in there along with al l the "normal" parts was also a few shelves of "extra cool" stuff, inclu ding some rare Columbus record tubing.
Dale Phelps asked about '78 to '79 Masi's built with '73 parts.
Dale-
Quite likely, Rene Moser from Masi was selling Campagnolo groups for $22 5. later $200. cash in 1978
I bought a NOS frameset from him with headset from him in 1979 for my gi rlfriend.
So, can't say for 1979, but it would be likely for 1978 that they were s till using the original order up.
I saw that legendary Campagnolo cage in Carlsbad, quite impressive.
