Your posting sent me to my archives where I store some old parts. I pulled out a NOS all alloy (legasuperleggera) OMAS headset that I have had for at least 20 years. The races are steel inserts, and its has small ball bearings in clear plastic retainers, but the cups and the top nut are all stamped with "OMAS Italy" along with the size (25.4 x 24). The finishing isn't a super polish, but its very nice. I keep telling myself I'm going to use it on that really nice frame, but I never seem to get around to it.
