Hi all.
"Adopted" a Hercules Tourist last weekend. Two years ago I gussied one up for Dad, but it was the AMF model. Had been thinking I wanted another one - to ride to work on icky days and just to tinker on. Anyway, this one has the Hercules hub, waay slack angles, and oiling ports for the hubs and bottom bracket.
This is the first non-recumbent I've ridden in about 2 years, and it's kind of funny really. Have gotten so used to leaning back and having zero wrist pressure...
Was wondering when they switched to Sturmey Archer hub? I'm guessing it's a 50-58 model based on the brakes, rear dropouts etc., but have no real idea.
