Chalk me up as one more CR list member with a goal of doing PBP. I completed my first brevet series (200, 300, 400 and 600) this year, and am so looking forward to doing the series again in 2006 with my sights set on doing a 1200 once before PBP.

I have write ups of the 2005 600km, and the 2004 Fleche that I did, plus a link to a photo gallery of the 600km in case anyone is interested.

The bikes I rode included a mid 80s Scapin for the Fleche and the 200km, and a 2001 Dave Yates Super Randonneur custom. Dave Yates is a British frame builder who makes lugged frames. The Yates is a custom build but a custom for someone else actually. I got it used. It's a great bike and I love riding it, but I am planning on getting a custom frame, purpose built for randonneuring built in time for 2007. Luckily there are several great builders on this list to choose from.

For those other list members who don't know whether to laugh or cry when reading about these plans, my suggestion is do neither. Come join us instead.
