Sorry, if this may be an "attaboy" message, but PLEASE keep up this wonderful thread on Beryl Burton. A rare treat on the CR List discussing a classy classic cyclist and her bicycles.
There is a wonderful short Dunlop produced film which is part of a video compilation on Classic British Cycling in the 50s and 60s that features Beryl c. 1952 and riding what I believe was a Hercules. It really show s her distinctive riding style... clearly a cyclist in a hurry!
I remember reading in the Penguin book on cycling that Beryl had a 753 frameset made by Ilkeston in the early 80s.
