Charlie, I think the Super Champ rims will easily handle 700x25C and probably even narrower. If you want NOS vintage tires, I have some white Michelins in 700x28 and 700x32. I also have Pirelli 700x32 orange and white. http://www.sdbicyclegarage.com/TireSale.html

HI I have a Mercian (1982) looks like new+would like to ride it. Has 700-35c Michelin Hi-Lite tyres that look good BUT I think they are original equipment on this bike. I do not trust them because of the age. The rims are Wolber M58(Super Champion) 23.2 wide outside measurement. ? What tyre will be appropriate to use? I'm thinking 700-28 or 32c What do I do? ThankYou Charlie Petry Cochranville PA charliepedal@aol.com
