Otley 12 September 17th. 1967 Beryl got the 12 hour record as Ray has already said. Mike McNamara Rockingham was second she beat him by 0.73 of a mile. He had set a new mens record at 276.52. Beryl's distance was 277.25. It was two years before Beryl's record was broken by John Watson Clifton CC.
