Santini, the Italian cycling clothes manufacturer, is celebrated their 40th anniversary today (16 December 2005).
The founder, Pietro Rosino Santini, is having a big celebration tonight in Bergamo. Gimondi, Motta and Saronni will be present as well as current riders such as Cunego, Petacchi and others.
The company, founded in 1965, first used the SMS logo in 1968. The first jerseys supplied to a professional team were to the 1970 Peugeot team.
