I am putting together a Holdsworth LaQuelda, courtesy of Mick Butler. It has a double plate fork crown. I want to put a front brake on it. The brake hole is recessed between the two plates. Does one mount a brake in the same way as normal? If so, how would one protect the chrome on the plates from getting mucked up because the brake bridge would have to be secured against the two plates?
