Whether the Gali clips are actually ti or just ti-colored aluminum could be established without a scratch test. The specific gravities are significanly different. In theory, you could establish the volume by displacement, weigh them and then calculate the density. Or weigh them in air and then in water... Would I have the tools to do this? No, this is more a theoretical thing.
I do recall seeing these clips, and my impression was that they are actually titanium.
