Hello Mark, Merry Christmas. My memory is not what it was, old age, copious ammounts of Woods Navy Rum and Fullers ESB have all taken their toll of late but I seem to remember Charly Gaul riding 3 arm Stronglight cottered steel cranks mated to Simplex rings, the type of rings which have 6 bolt fixings on the rings. Best wishes Mick Butler Hunts. UK.
