Hi Dan....sounds like you have a nice frame there. I can tell you what mine has in terms of specs: 1) Stem is 22.2mm Philippe. Bars are ATAX 2) Campy NR Crank 3) French tubing O.D. = 28.4mm 4) Yes...it has the Campy cable guide. 5) Seat post is 26.6 6) BB = 35x1
Mine is silver with black lettering and gold lug trim. My recollection is that the "Champ" frame came in two color schemes: Silver with Black/gold or Black with Red/gold. Wouldn't mind seeing a picture of it.
If you have anymore questions let me know.

I just got an early 70's Blue/White Motobecane Le Champion frame. Please email me and I will send you a picture if you want to see it.
I want to build it up close to original spec. It will not be a show bike, but basically so I don't wear out my nice PX-10, to have an alternative nice bike to ride.
I am looking for someone that is familiar with them that can help answer some questions. For now, these are what I can think of, but there are probably many more I will have.
1) Steerer/Stem - is it the french 22mm, or 22.2mm? 2) What crank would this have had, was it a Stronglight 93 or campy? 3) Is the tubing french size, do I need a french NR front deraileur, clips or other? 4) Did it have the campy downtube chrome cable guide near the BB? 5) What diameter seatpost would it have had? Was it a NR seatpost or other? 6) Was it a swiss thread BB? The previous owner tapped it to british, and it has a smooth BB now, but would like to know for historic sake.
Thanks, and sorry bout all the questions, just excited? Dan Kasha Seattle, Wa
