I just rebuilt and set up my Modolos for the Bianchi project. The action is firm and certain. I notice that they take a bit more effort to squeeze than some Japanese brakes of similar quality and vintage. Of course modern brakes take the prize when it comes to minimal effort but I would imagine that even though one can get used to anything, a firm action ensures more gradual modulation on quick stops.
