I don't own shares In Mr. Weigle's product FrameSaver® but it's hardly what i'd call expensive. What is it ??? $10 .. $12 for a can. Good, In
my experience for 2 maybe 3 frames for about 3 or 4 years protection. Matter of fact ... bargain, if'n you ask me. I spend more than that just for air in me freekin' tyres .... well, not really but you get my
drift. When I think just how much I spent for russian language lessons

See .. we love bikes, especially old ones. Most of 'em are plenty good
for a very long time with a little bit of love now and again. We spend
some crazy money on bikes and stuff and I am happy some dude thought and made a better thing for us to look after 'em with. If E-Richie Sachs (where 'ya been man??) says all his frames are treated with it then that's a good enough word of mouth statement for humble old me to
take in as bicycle gospel/torah/koran/dharma/CNN. Sure they buddies, and contemporaries but Rich ain't nobody's fool and rarely blows someone else's horn (umm - not meant to sound like it reads).
Truth be told the last frame I built up (on topic De Rosa BTW) I made a
mad rush around NYC bike shops to find some Weigle's Frame Saver to treat it with. None had any in stock. I call desperate and frantic to
Signor Pergolizzi to ask for help and he doesn't have any but says here
Peter's tel # .... call him. Who's Peter I ask ... Oh the guy whose name is on the can. Ok .. why not .... long story short: He couldn't help me out in a new york minute but we got chatting. Lemme tell 'ya, nice bloke, honest and knowledgable and humble and helpful. Talked to him for perhaps 40 minutes about all my bikes like a parent to their children's school counselor. He likes bikes, loves 'em. He lives 'em more than 99% of us do. He ain't driving in no birdcage Maserati. Frame
saver ain't making him millions and he doesn't summer with Jay-Z or whatever Kennedy's may still be alive. ...... but it's the best product
out there for the specific use we need it for and is small pittance when looking at the big picture. Y'see, we just custodians and somewhere down the track people will have just as much joy and see the
beauty of a nice classic bike >perhaps< because we didn't nickel and dime when it came to preserving them. All cyclists are family and when
I wish for others to share the love I am being a good and true cyclist.
Let's be happy that someone is thinking for us about internal rust preventative steps so we can focus more on ambiguities of bowtie Martano decals and Ti or Not Ti Galli toeclips.
Oh yeah .... never spoke or emailed Peter Weigle since then but am happy to give thumbs up where it's due. And spend a cuppla bucks on each frame that passes into my hands. And jeebus he makes some delicious bikes too !!!! Yeah, linseed oil is OK-ish (better than nothing). Boeshield has many uses. But Frame Saver is better - and very different - and made for just the purpose we need and intend for
it. I wish I could find some downunder 'coz the thought of getting some posted over via sea mail is pretty boring. Framebuilders and bike
junkies down here in Oz gasp in amazement when i tell 'em of this exotic Frame Saver stuff and they know the world is truly a mess when considering the only US exports we get is Jerry Springer and David Hasselhoff. No thanks, but (big) brother can you spare us some Weigle's

than lamenting of not having something like it (And boy do some of you
CR list cats lament !!!!) Share the love. I live for a world where the
greater populace can look forward to TV shows like "FrameBuilders Gone
Wild", Hilary Stone reads the Evening News and kids watch Good Old Fashioned Manners with Dale Brown (in spite of his fear of C Record). Perhaps we should be less nihilistic and selfish when it comes to our bike passion/addictions and in small ways become patrons of the artists
and visionaries that give us so much joy. They do it for love. From what I see 4 out of 5 naysayers and critics of Weigle's Frame Saver have never tried the stuff. What's up widdatt ???
So ... use JP Weigle's Frame Saver and be happy ..... or I'll bust your heads and maybe something even worse.
