Subject: [CR]WTB small mixte frame (Duncan Granger)

Hi all,

I am planning to build a vintage single speed for a friend of mine - she has not ridden a bike since childhood. I want to keep it simple - single speed freewheel and front and rear brakes. Thing is, she's 5'4" and says her inseam (measured according to instructions on a cycling website) is 27 inches. So standover height needs to be 26 (66cm). Even Terry only has one frame size with a standover that low...

So I'm thinking mixte. I would like to find a 531 mixte frame/fork with a short virtual top tube. Long rear drops since it's a single speed. I would very much prefer something on-topic. Also, I would prefer to avoid french threading if possible (I know, that eliminates a lot of decent Peugeot and Motobecane frames). I don't have any french-thread components in my parts boxes, and I want to keep the build cost as low as possible.

So if you have anything close to what I described (for example, 531 is not necessary, just preferred for lighter weight) please contact me off-list.

Thanks!
