Powder Coating, I have had three vintage Brit frames powder coated by Taint Paint in Colorado Springs, Co Ph#1-8007338374, I have been VERY please with the results, the lugs stand out as with painting, I even had them finish the head panel and downtube panel a different colour, they had to mask the lugs and
did a fine job, all three frames look good, they do not scratch or chip. My 1950 Mercian whch was refinished by Mercian DOES chip and scratch with ease. ONE problem that I have had is applying transfers, DECALS, they go one fine, if I wait a time for them to dry, then to clear coat them, has been a problem, I am looking for an Auto Body shop that will clear coat the frame with the transfers applied, most shops do not want to take the time to do this, does anyone have an answer to this, is there a can spray on clear coat that can be recommended, Lloyus says not to use a cellulose or acrylic base but a Oil base, one other note, one frame was done 18 months ago and the finish is still like new, Cheers John Crump.
