I think it was Jan Heine that referred to "thin Cinelli" paint. My 1972 yellow Cinelli has what looks like the the thinnest possible paint. On the other hand, my 1973 Colnago has thick and glossy paint (original). The difference is striking. I've wondered what ensued in that one year...new paints, new style or both?
